Bio

Born in Trenton, I have been a local resident for most of his life. I received my Bachelor of Science in Economics from James Madison University and my J.D. from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law. I am actively involved in my community.  Hopewell Township appointed me to the Hopewell Valley Green Futures Task Force. The Governor has nominated me to serve on the Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board, I await confirmation by the Senate. I served on the board of the Pennington Business and Professional Association from February 2004 to March 2010, first as Secretary and later as Vice President.  In 2008 my article “Renewable Energy and Land Use Law” was published in the Natural Resources and Environment Journal.  I have also contributed material to one of the newsletters produced by the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy and Resources.

I concentrate my practice in all matters involving business and the environment. I represent businesses from their inception – providing guidance in  choosing form of entity for formation, and preparing the  necessary operating documents, including by-laws, shareholder agreements, operating agreements – and  through the company’s growth in negotiating and preparing contracts, employment agreements.  I also represent clients in the lending process and both individuals and businesses in the sale/purchase of companies.

My environmental practice involves representation of non-profit and local groups in the promotion of a better environment. I am the registered lobbyist for a local group. I have also reviewed draft environmental impact statements and  submitted comments to public agencies on proposed projects and regulations.

I have tried many matters, including consumer fraud, personal injury, breach of contract, and eminent domain.. I have also aided clients whose property has been taken by eminent domain (condemnation) by a public authority.

I am a member of the American Bar Association and its section of Environment, Energy and Resources, as well as the Business Law section. I am also a member of the Environmental Law Institute. I am admitted to the bar in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the Federal District Court for the District of New Jersey.
